Enrolling IgAN Research Study in Florida

Immunoglobulin A Nephropathy (IgAN) is a kidney disease that occurs when a protein called IgA builds up in the kidneys. Over time, these deposits can cause inflammation and damage to the kidney’s filtering units, leading to symptoms such as protein in the urine (proteinuria), blood in the urine, and reduced kidney function. In some cases, the condition can gradually progress and increase the risk of kidney failure.

These studies are evaluating investigational treatments to better understand their safety, tolerability, and how they may affect kidney health in people with IgA nephropathy. Researchers are also studying how these treatments work in the body and their impact on markers like protein in the urine.

Eligibility varies by study, but generally includes adults diagnosed with IgA nephropathy, often confirmed by a kidney biopsy. Some studies may require certain levels of kidney function or protein in the urine. Our team can help review your medical history to see if you may qualify.

Participants typically complete a screening process, attend scheduled study visits, and receive investigational treatment either by IV infusion or injection, depending on the study. Follow-up visits and regular monitoring are also part of participation. Visit schedules may vary, and coordinators work to provide flexibility where possible.

Yes, as with any clinical trial, there may be risks associated with investigational treatments. These will be fully explained during the informed consent process before you decide to participate. Participant safety is closely monitored throughout the study.

There is no cost for study-related care, treatments, or assessments. Compensation may be available for time and travel, depending on the study.
